I'm very glad to stand here and give my short speach to you. I' m a young English teacher from XueLang Primary School. I'm No.4. Today my topic is “Holiday”.

As we known, there is a lot of holidays in every country, especially in China. You see，the new year is coming，. And the first holiday of 2009 is the New Year’s Day. So, I want to give my best wishes to you and a “Happy New Year!”

Well, when I’ve got this topic, I remember a holiday at once, that is the Children’s Day――the Children’s Day last year. Why? Because there is really something impressed me.
那么，当我有这个问题，我记得度假一次，这是儿童节-在儿童节去年。为什么？由于实在的东西我留下深刻的印象。
During the first year of my teaching career, I always work with full passion and attention. I like children, I like to study and play with them. Sometimes, they make me feel that I’m not a teacher but a friend. I believe that if a student like you and he will like the subject you teach.
在第一年我的教学生涯中，我总是工作，充分的热情和关注。我喜欢孩子，我喜欢研究，发挥他们。有时候，他们让我觉得我不是一个老师，而是朋友。我认为，如果一个学生喜欢你，他会喜欢你的主题教育。
Every Children’s Day, people will hold a big celebration, so do our school. Before that day, we would make preparations for the activities. I and another new teacher were in charge of the “Ringers” game. We felt a little nervous because we had no experience. So we tried our best to decorate the place to attract children. And we took our computer with us to play the funny cartoon music. Then we wait for children to come.
每一个儿童节，人们将举行大型庆祝活动，所以我们学校。在此之前一天，我们会作准备的活动。我和另一个新老师是负责的“铃声”游戏。我们觉得有点紧张，因为我们没有经验。所以，我们尽了最大的努力来装饰的地方，以吸引儿童。我们在我们的计算机与我们合作，发挥有趣的卡通音乐。然后，我们等待孩子来。
Out of our surprise, when the celebration began, lots of children rushed to our place and asked for playing the game. There was a long line. The music played and played, children happily came and went. But time was limited. 40 minutes later, we had to declare game over. At that time, I saw a little boy who didn’t want to leave, when we said to him the game was over again, he even cried. So, I let him play again. And he got the last toy. When I gave the prize to him, he smiled and said “ Thank you, teacher.” I felt so satisfied and because of the smile I wasn’t tired at all.

So, in my opinion, we teachers must pay more attention and patience and the most important――love to children. If you give a little love to children，you will get a great deal back.

inspirational speech (one person)
this is your chance to choose one thing you really like or absolutely detest, and create a well ***anized 1 minute speech to persuade your clas**ates that 'you spit the truth.' you are correct, sir/madam! by the end of your speech, everyone should agree with you.
decide on a single specific opinion to promote, and use the crazy english and expressing emotions texts to supplement your speech. no reading aloud--your speech must be memorized and well prepared.
requirements:
1) incorporate language from crazy english or expressing emotions at least 10 times.
2) your speech must not exceed 75 seconds.
3) pay close attention to emotion, rhythm, and persuasive points. (what is the best method to persuade your peers?)
persuasive dialogue (2 people)
this is your opportunity to choose a partner and create a 1.5 minute conversational dialogue. person a will aim to persuade person b to share the same view point on one subject.
choose one specific opinion and prepare a logical dialogue. initially, person b will disagree with person a's view point, but by the end of the 1.5 minutes, person b should agree with person a.
use the crazy english and expressing emotions texts to supplement your conversation. no reading aloud--your dialogue must be memorized and well rehearsed.
requirements:
1) incorporate language from crazy english or expressing emotions at least 10 times.
2) your dialogue must not exceed 105 seconds.
3) pay close attention to emotion and logical progression. (the dialogue should feel authentic, like a real life situation.)

i want you to remind you that years only wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusia** wrinkles the soul. worry, fear, self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.
i am convinced that in the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young.
it means that when the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynici** and the ice of pessimi**, then you are grown old, even at 20, but as long as your aerials are up, to catch waves of optimi**, there is hope you may die young at 80.

firstly, i'm trying to tell you what is happiness?
happiness
happiness is the most precious thing that everyone wants very much in the world. it means different things for different pepole. some people think money means it, so they try to make more money; some people believe that knowledge can bring it to them, so they study very hard; some other people find only good health can make themselves get it, so they take part in all kinds of sports and games.
from my point of view,happiness is just an attitude towards life.being positive and optimistic is very important in one’s career.if we have this spirit,we can over***e any difficluties and go forwad instead of being lost in the shadow of frustration and unhappiness.
on the other hand , i am convinced that being cotent to life and enjoying life is also essecial for pepole seeking after happiness. there is an old saying going like this, "happy is he who is content." i can't agree with it any more.
i still remember a story my mother told me when i was a child. a millionaire tried every means to seek after pleasure but to feel unhappy. it's not unique, but has its counterpart that poor men to whose name not having a thing always feel happy.
why are they so different? the answer is that the rich is being thinking how he can gain more while the poor is satisfied with what he owns at hand-health, freedom, love and so on.
one further point to add is love ,which makes great difference to happiness. if you have love in your heart, you will have happiness in your life. love consists of two parts, one is to love others, and the other is to be loved by others.
lei feng set a good example for all of us. he served the people wholeheartedly until the last minute of his life. he regarded serving the people as the happiest thing.
there are numbers of similar inspirational stories to be found. in addition, being loved by others can also lead you to happiness. courage from your parents when frustrated, care from your lover when ill, help from your friends when in trouble… all of these will make you the happiest person in the world.

In my 18 years of life, there have been many things. University days are the best part of them. I can never forget the days when I stepped into my university. I was impressed by its garden-like campus, its enthusiastic students and especially its learning atmosphere. I at once fell in love with it.
After the arduous military training, I get absolutely absorbed in my studies. The classes given by the teachers are excellent. They provide us with information not only from our textbooks but from many other sources as well. They easily arouse my insatiable desire to take in as much as I can.
Frankly speaking, at first I had some difficulty following the teachers. However, through my own efforts and thanks to my teachers' guidance, I made remarkable progress. Now I've benefited a lot from lectures and many other academic reports.
Learning is a long process; I'll keep exploring in the treasure house of knowledge to enrich myself. This summer I got out of the ivory tower and entered the real world. A publishing house offered me a part-time job in compilation and revision.
At the beginning I was belittled by my colleagues. But they were really surprised when I translated seven English articles over 5,000 words on only one day. Gradually, they began to look at me with respectful eyes. In their opinion I turned out to be a useful and trustworthy colleague.
I also realize that only those who bring happiness for others can be truly happy. So I often take part in activities concerning public welfare. I once went to a barren mountain village with my classmates. We taught the kids there who could not afford school. While showing them how broad and how civilized the outer world is, I was deeply touched by their eagerness to learn, their honesty and their purity. I couldn't control my tears on the day when we left. The precious experience with the poor kids made me aware of the responsibility on the shoulders of us, future teachers.
Besides study and social practice, there are entertainments as well. I do body building every day, hoping to keep healthy and energetic. We also write a play and put it on in our spare time.
Campus life is the most splendid time. But different people have different choices. The majority of students cherish their beautiful season and cherish the hope that one day they'll become outstanding. But there are indeed some students still under ignorance. They gather together for eating, drinking or playing cards. They're busy in searching for a girlfriend or a boyfriend. They forget completely about their mission as college students and the hope of their motherland.
Finally, I do hope everybody can try their best to become a worthy citizen of the country. I do hope everybody can become the backbone of our nation and make great contributions to society!

it is true that most of us value honesty highly. however, nowadays we often confront confidence crisis such as cheating, overcharging, fake commodities and so on. i think that we should be honest because being honest is not only beneficial to ourselves but also to others and the whole society. the reasons can be listed as follows.firstly, only honest people can be truly respected by the others and can make more friends over a long period of time.
secondly, honesty, which is the traditional virtue of the chinese people, can make our life easier and more harmonious. thirdly, honesty can make our society more stable. a case in point is that singapore, a society featuring trustworthineand integrity, has a comparatively low criminal rate.
responsbility can be understood in many ways. for the parents , they have had the responsibility for caring for and fostering their children since the birth of their baby.for teachers,both in kindergartens and colleges,they also should be responsible for the study and life of their students,that is to say,teahers are the second parents of children somewhile.
for us,as a friend of others,it is our responsibility to help our friends when they are in trouble or faced with difficulties. each one has the different responsibily based on their roles but we must take it for granted that we are responsible for the society.
