good afternoon ,everybody! i’m very happy to stand here ,are you happy?

have you been frustrated about english ? have you been sad because of your terrible grades? have you made a decision to study english ?

if your answer is yes ,all right, congratulation on the first step that you go.

yes or no ? no!!ok,very good, you must believe you are the best !

thank you !

学英语并非是一朝一夕的事,可谓“never too old to learn.”(活到老,学到老.)

thank you! excuse me. sorry.

after you.

that’s all right.

大学生英语演讲稿范文(一)someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. i don’t know who wrote these words, but i’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. we are all in the position of the farmers.

if we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. if we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.

we are young. “how to spend the youth” it is a meaningful question. to answer it, first i have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth” youth is not a time of life, it’s a state of mind.

it’s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. it’s the matter of the will. it’s the freshness of the deep spring of life.

a poet said “to see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. several days ago, i had a chance to listen to a lecture. i learnt a lot there.

i’d like to share it with all of you. let’s show our right palms. we can see three lines that show how our and life is.

i have a short line of life. what about yours i wondered whether we could see our future in this way. well, let’s make a fist.

where is our future where is our love, career, and life tell , it is in our hands. it is held in ourselves.

we all want the future to be better than the past. but the future can go better itself. don’t cry because it is over, **ile because it happened.

from the past, we’ve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. we’ve learnt that we can’t choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it. failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way.

failure doesn’t mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder.

as what i said at the beginning, “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. the past has gone. nothing we do will change it.

but the future is in front of us. believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us. and from today on, let’s be the owners of ourselves, and speak out “we are the world, we are the future.

大学生英语演讲稿范文(二)i believe in our future

honorable judges, fellow students:

good afternoon!

recently, ther is a heated debate in our society. the college students are the beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional education at extraordinary places. but will we be able to face the challenge and support ourselves against all odds will we be able to better the lives of others will we be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of our country

the cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, which would cringe at the slightest dis***fort. but the cynics are wrong. the college students i see are eagerly learning about how to live independently.

we help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take part time jobs to supplement our pocket money.

the cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect the need for character cultivation. but again, the cynics are wrong. we care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth.

last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order to make a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer.

as college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point in our lives. we all face a fundamental choice: cynici** or faith, each will profoundly impact our future, or even the future of our country.

i believe in all my fellow clas**ates. though we are still inexperienced and even a little bit childish. i believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challenge and take on our responsibilities.

we are preparing to assume new responsibilities and tasks, and to use the education we have received to make our world a better place. i believe in our future.

ladies and gentlemen,

we engineering students take it for granted that technology is changing incredibly fast. we are thinking nervously and seriously whether our colleges are failing to provide a foundation in the skills currently needed in industry. take my major tele***munications for example.

scientists say that 21st century is a biomedical time, not an electrical time. but without the help of electronic data processing and transformation, biomedical technology alone cannot go too far. funny enough, the word biomedical itself is just a ***bination of two disciplines.

so the interdisciplinary exploitation serves as the critical part for our electric and electronics world as well as any other fields to find new way of being.

but the power of knowledge collaboration is certainly not restricted to science and engineering; it is in the full ***munity of learning. walking around campus i absorbed a reality that there is a seamless web between students from different professional backgrounds. the engineering students are discussing animatedly in a philosophy lecture, speaking passionately in the public speaking club, and looking for sparkling ideas from learning history and arts.

how wonderful that is! that, ladies and gentleman, is just a significant step forward to be wellrounded because once we jump out of the circle we can see the bigger picture.

my friends, i hope that you have already got what university is all about. please let me end my speech with the nobel prize winner li zhengdao’s words: “the realization of the perfect ***bination of science and engineering, science and arts, technology and humanity, is the greatest symbol of a university’s success.

” thank you.

每个人!good luck!everyone!

渴望、确信、真诚(i am keen, i am lear and i am sinere)。

on october 6th, xx, i went xiao meisha with my fellows to spend a nice seaside holiday. on our arriving at xiao meisha, we were all filled with excitement, since this was our first trip to the seaside. xiao meisha was an excellent seaside resort indeed.

there the sky was clean and bright, the wind was mild and pleasant, the sandy beach was soft and ***fortable, and the sea was so magnificent. we felt refreshed at that moment. it seemed as if we traveled in the heaven.

we did many kinds of activities at the seaside. some of us went swimming in the sea; some went surfing; some dived underwater; some had a walk along the sea; some played sports on the beach. but i just took some photos of the beautiful sea scenery.

all of us had a happy time.

in the evening, when it was about the time for leaving, we were unwilling to go, because the beautiful sea scenery deeply attracted us. we all expected for our next ***ing. so i could say that the seaside holiday was both relaxing and wonderful.

she kindled a third match. again shot up the flame; and now she was sitting under a most beautiful christmas tree ,far larger, and far more prettily decked out, than the one she had seen last christmas eve through the glass doors of the rich merchant's house. hundreds of wax-tapers lighted up the green branches, and tiny painted figures, such as she had seen in the shop-windows, looked down from the tree upon her.

the child stretched out her hands towards them in delight, and in that moment the lights of the match warm quenched; still, however, the christmas candles burned higher and higher, she beheld them beaming like stars in heaven; one of them fell, the lights streaming behind it like a long, fiery tail.

“now some one is dying,” said the little girl, softly, for she had been told by her old grandmother, the only person who had ever been kind to her, and who was now dead that whenever a star falls an immortal spirit returns to the god who gave it.

she struck yet another match against the wall; it flamed up, and surrounded by its light, appeared before her that same dear grandmother, gentle and loving as always, but bright and happy as she had never looked during her lifetime.

when we go to school, we are taught that life is not always going well, we will meet all kinds of difficulties. everyone hears the words, but when they meet difficulties, it is hard for them to be ok with it, they feel the life is hopeless, just as hearing is easy, while taking action is another thing. once a famous business person said that the one who faced the failure and stood up, he or she will be successful.

i absolutely believe it, we are in front of so many accidents, we need to face the setback and learn from it, every setback is a test for us, only the one who passes the test can succeed. such as when we feel it hard to study, then give up, how can we make progress. life teaches us lesson every minute, the adverse situation is a good chance to upgrade ourselves.

篇一hold fast to your dreams

i have a dream today。

i have a dream that one day every vally shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together。

wow, what a dream it has been for martin luther king。 but the changing world seems telling me that people gradually get their dreams lost somehow in the process of growing up, and sometimes i personally find myself saying goodbye unconsciously to those distant childhood dreams。

however, we meed dreams。 they nourish our spirit; they represent possibility even when we are dragged down by reality。 they keep us going。

most successful people are dreamers as well as ordinary people who are not afraid to think big and dare to be great。 when we were little kids, we all dreamed of doing something big and splashy, something significant。 now what we need to do is to maintain them, refresh them and turn them into reality。

however, the toughest part is that we often have no ideas how to translate these dreams into actions。 well, just start with concrete objectives and stick to it。 don’t let the nameless fear confuse the eye and confound our strong belief of future。

through our talents, through our wits, through our endurance and through our creativity, we will make it。

hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly。 hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow。 so my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams。

whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today。

mr. john doleeva, hall of fame executive ***mittee, ladies and gentlemen, good evening.

when i heard that i was speaking first tonight, i thought that someone made a mistake. the first speaker should be the great allen iverson. i need practice more than he does.

first of all, i would like to thank you for giving me this great honor. your recognition has made tonight a most memorable moment for me. although perhaps my career ended too soon, for me i treasure each and every moment.

i am grateful for my time on the court, and for your recognition tonight.

i would like to thank my sponsors:

bill russell. i will never f***et that you invited me to dinner at your house in seattle when i was a young rookie. that evening, and all of your advice since, really built up my confidence and made me feel ***fortable in a new country.

bill walton. you supported me all the way. thank you for your advice and encouragement.

you were the first one who called me when i woke up from my foot surgery. you told me to stay positive. i will never f***et that.

dikembe mutombo. i put you last because you are the oldest of the three. we played together for 5 years and had so many memories on and off the court.

nothing can break the bond between us, not even all those elbows you gave me in practice.

as you know, i am from china and my journey began there.

my parents were basketball players back in the 1970’s. i heard so many great stories about them, about how they played and how good they were. more importantly, so many people know how good they are as people.

i am very fortunate to be your son. the gift i had from you was not only height. it was much more.

you taught me how to think, how to make decisions. and of course my soft touch on the free throw line. which is why i am about 10,000 free throws less than shaq.

my wife li. we met when we were high school age. you know how much you mean to me.

thank you for being my life partner. our lovely daughter amy is a treasure to both of us. we wish she could be here, but she is in her first week at school.

and she has to live with the consequence of choosing soccer over basketball.

my basketball journey began on the back of coach li zhangmin's bicycle when he gave me a ride to my very first practice on the basketball court. i would like to congratulate you on a great career as you retire this year. so many kids have benefited from you and your work.

coach li qiuping you were my coach at the shanghai sharks. you led us to the cba championship, and never gave up on us, even when you lost your wife to cancer that year. thank you for your dedication and your sacrifices to us.

i want to thank the city of shanghai, shanghai sharks and the cba league did everything they could to prepare me. they raised me, trained me and helped me to be ready for the next challenges in my life.

there is old saying in china that if the mirror is made of bronze, one can dress properly, if the mirror is history, one can predict ups and downs, if the mirror is people, one can reflect on one's own weakness and strength. and now, i would like to mention a few mirrors in my life.

i want to mention mr. mou zouyun. he was a basketball legend.

over 80 years ago, mr. mou came here to springfield to study basketball. he went back to china and dedicated his life to chinese basketball.

today, the cba championship cup is named after him. this cup is the life goal that every cba player can dream of.

i am not the first chinese man to play in the nba. that honor belongs wang zhi zhi. he was a pioneer for all future chinese players who dream of ***ing to the nba.

he cleared the road for us and made so many sacrifices. i learned so much from him. although he cannot be here today, i want to thank him.

many people know the story that began when the rockets drafted me in xx. not many people know how much effort the rockets put in before i arrived and throughout my career. thank you to les alexander, michael goldberg, carroll dawson, tad brown, daryl morey and keith jones for ****** me feel at home in houston.

when i arrived in houston on my first day, steve francis gave me a strong high five and a big hug to wel***e me. steve has been the perfect big brother to me ever since that day. cutino mobley invited me to his home for something called soul food.

i thought he meant salty food. thank you to steve, cutino and everyone on my early rockets teams for ****** me feel so wel***e.

rudy t. is famous for saying “never underestimate the heart of a champion.” rudy has demonstrated this not only on the court, but off the court too, especially in his battle with cancer.

rudy, you have always inspired me to be the best that i can be.

when jeff van gundy arrived with patrick ewing and tom thibideau, that coaching staff turned us into a tough defensive team, like he always does.

with t-mac, shane battier, rafer alston, we became a talented young team especially with dikembe. that team was not only ***petitive, but a team with a brotherhood.

i all ways remember coach van gundy said once that the best chance also could be your last. that is true in basketball and in life.

my last nba coach was rick adelman. he helped us develop so many talented players like carl landry, luis scola and aaron brooks. we had a great run in xx/xx, but unfortunately my injury cut things short and ended my time with the rockets too soon.

i will always remember my time spent with the houston rockets as some of the best times in my life.

as a basketball player, i was one of the most blessed players on the pla***. i played against some of the best athletes in the world. a great athlete not only has great teammates, but great opponents.

great opponents push us forward. opponents like shaquille o’neal. shaq every game we played reminded me of the old saying “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

” thank you for that

i consider houston my second home so i want to say something to the people of houston. you stood by me in good and bad times. you gave me strength to move forward.

i will always consider you my family. i am a texan and a houston rocket for life.

all of this would not be possible without the vision of david stern and the nba. thank you to david stern, adam silver, kim bohuny and everyone at the nba for your kindness and support.

finally, to team yao. erik zhang, bill duffy, bill sanders, billy kuenzinge, larry zhang and lu hao. we all look older and fatter than we first met.

ladies and gentlemen, i like to pay my respect to dr. nai**ith, to the to the 345 previous members of the hall of fame, and to everyone who has contributed to the game of basketball all over the world in last 125 years.

all of these individuals are stars and together they form the galaxy in the universe of basketball. the game has inspired billions of people around the world. as one of them, i will do my part to continue to help grow the great game of basketball and we all look forward to watching the stars of tomorrow emerge and shine.

thank you for this great honor.

the president: at his trial in 1964, nelson mandela closed his statement from the dock saying, i have fought against white domination, and i have fought against black domination. i have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities.

it is an ideal which i hope to live for and to achieve. but if needs be, it is an ideal for which i am prepared to die.

and nelson mandela lived for that ideal, and he made it real. he achieved more than could be expected of any man. today, he has gone home.

and we have lost one of the most influential, courageous, and profoundly good human beings that any of us will share time with on this earth. he no longer belongs to us -- he belongs to the ages.

”i am one of the countless millions who drew inspiration from nelson mandelas life. my very first political action, the first thing i ever did that involved an issue or a policy or politics, was a protest against apartheid. i studied his words and his writings.

the day that he was released from prison gave me a sense of what human beings can do when theyre guided by their hopes and not by their fears. and like so many around the globe, i cannot fully imagine my own life without the example that nelson mandela set, and so long as i live i will do what i can to learn from him.

to the people of south africa, we draw strength from the example of renewal, and reconciliation, and resilience that you made real. a free south africa at peace with itself -- thats an example to the world, and thats madibas legacy to the nation he loved.

we will not likely see the likes of nelson mandela again. so it falls to us as best we can to forward the example that he set: to make decisions guided not by hate, but by love; to never discount the difference that one person can make; to strive for a future that is worthy of his sacrifice.

for now, let us pause and give thanks for the fact that nelson mandela lived -- a man who took history in his hands, and bent the arc of the moral universe toward justice. may god bless his memory and keep him in peace.

my fellow south africans,

our beloved nelson rolihlahla mandela, the founding president of our democratic nation has departed.

our nation has lost its greatest son. our people have lost a father.

his tireless struggle for freedom earned him the respect of the world.

they have sacrificed much and endured much so that our people could be free.

our thoughts are with his wife mrs graca machel, his former wife ms winnie madikizela-mandela, with his children, his grand-children, his great grand-children and the entire family.

our thoughts are with the millions of people across the world who embraced madiba as their own, and who saw his cause as their cause.

this is the moment of our deepest sorrow.

our nation has lost its greatest son.

yet, what made nelson mandela great was precisely what made him human. we saw in him what we seek in ourselves.

wide sea diving, the days of the birds to fly. everyone carries a dream of their own.

however, what is the dream? what is dream? dream is looking forward to, and the dream is strong - is fleeting dream you insist on the ideal as their courage and perseverance, are you responsible for their own highest level.

but ask yourself, how many of us to ac***plish his original dream in mind?

our dream is a ****** belief, is a future and life of their own responsibility. perhaps, is the youth grand ambitions; perhaps, is the adolescent confusion and impulsive; maybe just a plain desire, desire applause, eager for success. countless "may," innumerable "hope" because of our youthful full of miracles, large and **all dreams in our hearts, in every corner of life filled with fragrance.

only the ideal but no effort is useless. if you want to be a teacher, you should to study hard. if you want to be a player, you should do more exercises.

if you want to be***e a busines**an, he should learn to get along with people. for example, my wish is to be a famous writer grew up, because i really love writing, so from now on, i should read more, more accumulate knowledge, and strive to improve writing level. no pains, no gains, because my efforts, so my article was punished in many news*****s , and in many ***position contest, i see the success i'm happy, so, struggle is the bridge to the ideal.

yes, my dream. to give my famliy a warm, give my friend happy. yes, my dream.

the podium from the first station began his love this place, started from the first published an article looking forward to the world of words, decided to stay here from the beginning, stick to bottom of my heart desire.

years in our faces no matter how many additional traces, no matter how much things to us across the chest wounds, as long as we have the right to breathe, to have a passion for remodeling dreams! oxygen to survive as long as we have to have the courage to create a passion!

choose to continue, select the value, select the achievements of the passion of life, the brave hearts of the initial dream of success!

Hello, everyone, I’m(英文名字),I’m(年龄).I have a happy family: my father、mother and me.My father is strong. My mother is kind.well, I’m a little naughty.I'm the monitor of my class , I get on well with my teachers and classmates,I love them and they love me.Of course, I love English my topic is《I love you,China》.Since the day I was born, I began to have a proud name—Chinese.Since the day I began to talk, the most beautiful sentence I’ve ever learnt has been “I love you, China!”

I love you, China, and I’m so proud of being a Chinese.I’m proud that I’ve got the beautiful yellow skin, black eyes and black hair.I’m also proud that I speak the most beautiful language in the world—Chinese.I love you, China, for I can feel the deep love you give me every day, every minute.Last year, I met a foreigner ,he asked me a question: “Little boy, how could you speak such perfect English?” I smiled and told him proudly that all the students in China are able to learn English at school.I saw his surprised eyes and said to myself, “I’m proud of you, China ”!

That’s all.thanks for your listening.

Last year when I was here, I was speaking to you about a swim which I did across the North Pole.

And while that swim took place three years ago, I can remember it as if it was yesterday.

I remember standing on the edge of the ice, about to dive into the water, and thinking to myself, I have never ever seen any place on this earth which is just so frightening.

The water is completely black. The water is minus 1.7 degrees centigrade, or 29 degrees Fahrenheit. It's flipping freezing in that water.

And then a thought came across my mind: if things go pear-shaped on this swim, how long will it take for my frozen body to sink the four and a half kilometers to the bottom of the ocean?

And then I said to myself, I've just got to get this thought out of my mind as quickly as possible.

And the only way I can dive into that freezing cold water and swim a kilometer is by listening to my iPod and really revving myself up,能让我扎入 这冰冷的水里 然后游了4千米的唯一方法就是 听着我的iPod,让我自己全力运转起来,

listening to everything from beautiful opera all the way across to Puff Daddy, and then committing myself a hundred percent -- there is nothing more powerful than the made-up mind --and then walking up to the edge of the ice and just diving into the water.

And that swim took me 18 minutes and 50 seconds, and it felt like 18 days.

And I remember getting out of the water and my hands feeling so painful and looking down at my fingers, and my fingers were literally the size of sausages because -- you know, we're made partially of water -- when water freezes it expands, and so the cells in my fingers had frozen and expandedand burst.

And the most immediate thought when I came out of that water was the following: I'm never, ever going to do another cold water swim in my life again.

Anyway, last year, I heard about the Himalayas and the melting of the -- (Laughter) and the melting of the glaciers because of climate change.

I heard about this lake, Lake Imja.

This lake has been formed in the last couple of years because of the melting of the glacier.

The glacier's gone all the way up the mountain and left in its place this big lake.

And I firmly believe that what we're seeing in the Himalayas is the next great, big battleground on this earth.

Nearly two billion people -- so one in three people on this earth -- rely on the water from the Himalayas.

And with a population increasing as quickly as it is, and with the water supply from these glaciers -- because of climate change --decreasing so much, I think we have a real risk of instability.

North, you've got China; south, you've India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, all these countries.

And so I decided to walk up to Mt. Everest, the highest mountain on this earth, and go and do a symbolic swim underneath the summit of Mt. Everest.

Now, I don't know if any of you have had the opportunity to go to Mt. Everest, but it's quite an ordeal getting up there.

28 great, big, powerful yaks carrying all the equipment up onto this mountain -- I don't just have my Speedo, but there's a big film crew who then send all the images around the world.28只巨大的牦牛 载着所有的仪器登上山峰 -- 我不仅仅带这我的泳裤。

i graduated from the university with academic honors and proceeded to the yale law school, where i received my jd degree in 1980. upon graduation from law school, i became a practicing lawyer with the washington, dc, firm of ward, hardraker, and ross.

in 1981, i was introduced to now judge thomas by a mutual friend. judge thomas told me that he was anticipating a political appointment, and he asked if i would be interested in working with him. he was, in fact, appointed as assistant secretary of cation for civil rights.

after he had taken that post, he asked if i would bee his assistant, and i accepted that position.

in my early period there, i had two major projects. the first was an article i wrote for judge thomas' signature on the cation of minority students. the second was the ***anization of a seminar on high-risk students which was abandoned because judge thomas transferred to the eeoc where he became the chairman of that office.

during this period at the department of cation, my working relationship with judge thomas was positive. i had a good deal of responsibility and independence. i thought he respected my work and that he trusted my judgment.

after approximately three months of working there, he asked me to go out socially with him.

what happened next and telling the world about it are the two most difficult things -- experiences of my life. it is only after a great deal of agonizing consideration and sleeplenumber -- a great number of sleeplenights tha(t i amable to talk of these unpleasant matters to anyone but my close friends.

i declined the invitation to go out socially with him and explained to him that i thought it would jeopardize what at the time i considered to be a very good working relationship. i had a normal social life with other men outside of the office. i believed then, as now, that having a social relationship with a person who was supervising my work would be ill-advised.

i was very unfortable with the idea and told him so.

i thought that by saying no and explaining my reasons my employer would abandon his social suggestions. however, to my regret, in the following few weeks, he continued to ask me out on several occasions. he pressed me to justify my reasons for saying no to him.

these incidents took place in his office or mine. they were in the form of private conversations which would not have been overheard by anyone else.

my working relationship became even more strained when judge thomas began to use work situations to discuse-x. on these occasions, he would call me into his office for reports on cation issues and projects, or he might suggest that, because of the time pressures of his schle, we go to lunch to a government cafeteria. after a brief discussion of work, he would turn the conversation to a discussion of se-xual matters.

his conversations were very vivid. he spoke about acts that he had seen in ****ographic films involving such matters as women having se-x with animals and films showing group se-x or rape scenes. he talked about ****ographic materials depicting individuals with large penises or large breasts involved in various se-x acts.

on several occasions, thomas told me graphically of his own se-xual prowess.

because i was extremely unfortable talking about se-x with him at all and particularly in such a graphic way, i told him that i did not want to talk about these subjects. i would also try to change the subject to cation matters or to nonse-xual personal matters such as his background or his beliefs. my efforts to change the subject were rarely successful.

throughout the period of these conversations, he also from time to time asked me for social engagements. my reaction to these conversations was to avoid them by eliminating opportunities for us to engage in extended conversations. this was difficult because at the time i was his only assistant at the office of cation -- or of

fice for civil rights.

thank you very much for your attention。

范例:ladies and gentlemen , good afternoon! i'm very glad to stand here and give you a short speech.

today my topic is “youth”。 i hope you will like it , and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it.
